Pontian, Johor, Malaysia

We started out insanely early in the morning (which is how Mum & Dad best love it). And I wake up insanely earlier still because I'm supposed to be the one who takes the longest to get ready. *huff*

I was ready much much earlier than the rest. Bro & Sis were still having breakfast, unshowered when I'm all set. Hah!

This of course resigns me to amusing-the-baby duty. I think he's learnt that once we put a hat/cap on him, it's a sign that he's going out and thus get pretty excited.

It was still dark even after clearing the JB customs. Made a stop at Danga Bay for certain people with full bladders. Had wanted to go in to take a pic of the sea, but they were ahem characters hanging around.

Traffic was pretty smooth. But there was a crazy driver in a jeep who kept trying to cut us.

Was hardly 7.30am when we reached the JPJ Office. Nahhh, not to clear some fines, but to meet up with my other sis. But it was too early for even her to be in her office.

Dad left his hp. But realised belatedly he had his other SIM card which we could use on my hp. By the time we figured it out,KT had reached.

Spent some time there, since she has never met her brand-new 4mth-ol nephew. Then headed back home.

Well, almost home. Went to pick up the clothes we tailored for Raya. And sent back Bro's pants which are too tight.

Then, finally home. It's such a sunny, sunny day and the flowers are all a-blooming. Such a cheery sight.

Spent the afternoon lazing around. Then it started raining so so heavily. Love sitting at the window looking out.

Tried to snap some pics from up in my pseudo-attic room.

But it doesn't beat going down and roaming about.

We decided to set off in the late afternoon during a lull in the rain. It however started raining heavily again as we entered back into JB town. Since visibility was so bad, decided to wait out the rain at Angsana Plaza.

Mum & Dad babysitted the Baby while Bro, Sis and I went around. Saw a few things we thought of buying but decided to explore the whole place first. Finally ended up at the basement where we made reservations to break fast at Sedap Corner.

The waitress told us they only had one table left. Bro was quite skeptical if the family could fit, but there wasn't any other alternative. So placed our orders before really embarking on our shopping.

Bro and Sis bought some Calligraphy for their room and some hemming and hawing. Sis asked if her Malay was so bad that the shopkeeper couldn't understand her. Although I'd love to say otherwise, it was just the shopkeeper. ;)

Then bought a couple of sets of containers for Mum's Raya delicacies. Also bought her new set of glasses. Then off to the car to keep everything. Found Mum & Dad at the top floor near a stall with really delish looking BBQ-chicken. But they've also bought satay, and it would be too greedy to buy more food.

Proceeded back to the basement. The restaurant's already full with customers. The waitress told us she'd get an addtional table since we had so much food. Oops.

Time to break fast. The food was absolutely delish! We had spicy sotong, sweet & sour fish, calamari, fried tofu, seafood tom yum, fried veggies and bandong! No pictures though, sorry was too busy eating.

Mum, Dad and Sis wanted to go grocery-shopping afters, so Bro and me took over babysitting duties and retired to Mac's to have chocolate milkshakes. Maybe it tasted so good after a whole day's fasting, but really missed having milkshakes at Mac's.

The rain has slowed into a drizzle, and we made our way back to Singapore. It was pretty fast going through Malaysia customs, but it took forever and a half to clear the Woodlands checkpoint.

Thankfully enough, the "boot-check" wasn't too thotough and we got through with the beef patties we got.
